Toro Loco isn’t a traditional winery but a modern brand crafted by Bodegas Coviñas — the largest producer in Utiel-Requena. This cooperative works with grapes from thousands of local growers, often from old vines. The wine is based on Bobal, the region’s signature grape, known for its resilience to heat. Once used mainly for bulk wine, it now symbolizes the area’s quality revival. Tip: Don’t hesitate to ask for an ice cube — this juicy glass can handle it.
