How to use your Rayleigh & Ramsay Wine Card and R&R Unplugged app

Explore and pour wine your way, with a physical Wine Card or the R&R Unplugged app. Here’s how payment and credit work.

1. The physical Wine Card

You can buy and top up a Wine Card at any of our locations. The credit is added to the card once you’ve paid. Use your Wine Card to pour wine from our dispensers or to pay for other drinks and food at Rayleigh & Ramsay. The card isn’t tied to one person, so you can give it to someone else or share it.

2. The R&R Unplugged app

The app is free to download. It lets you pour wine from our dispensers without a physical Wine Card. There are two ways to pay:

• Credit card — pay as you tap: Link a credit card in the app and pay for the wine you pour, without adding credit in advance.
• Wallet: Add credit to your wallet in advance using iDEAL or a credit card. The wine you pour is deducted from your wallet balance. Any remaining credit stays in the app, ready for your next visit.

Wallet credit can only be used for wine from our dispensers. It cannot be used to pay for food, beer, soft drinks or other drinks. You can use a physical Wine Card or another payment method for those purchases.

3. How long paid credit remains valid

Paid credit on your Wine Card or in your app wallet remains valid for at least two years. Each time you use or top up your Wine Card or wallet, a new two-year period starts for the remaining balance. Unused credit expires at the end of that period. If you pay by credit card using pay as you tap, you don’t build up a credit balance, so no credit expiry period applies.

4. Cashing out credit

Wine Card and wallet credit is intended for purchases with us. As a rule, we don’t pay out unused credit in cash or by bank transfer. This does not affect any rights you may have under the law, for example in relation to an online payment or an incorrect charge.

5. Lost cards, account access and technical issues

Keep your Wine Card safe and protect access to your app account. Lost your card? If you have the card number or a registered card, we can check whether there is any credit left and, where possible, transfer it to a new card. We’ll tell you about any replacement card fee beforehand. If you lose your phone, spot a charge you don’t recognise or run into a technical problem, please contact us as soon as you can. We’ll work with you to find a solution.

6. Prices and age

Before you pour, you can see the price for the amount you’ve selected at the dispenser or in the app. We only serve alcohol to guests aged 18 or over and may ask to see valid ID.

Tip: Keep a note of your card number or register your Wine Card. That makes it easier for us to help if it gets lost.
